Lindy pricing for seats and pooled credits
IC Guides · AI Agents · Personal assistants
Lindy’s Team plan is $49.99 per active user a month, and each user gets 5,000 credits, pooled across the workspace. Top ups are $10 per 1,000 credits, so a credit is a cent in both cases. Lindy publishes a range of credits per job, from 2 for a quick answer to 2,500 for a big build, which lets you turn most tasks into a dollar figure before you sign. The risk is headcount, because anyone who touches Lindy takes a paid seat.
Who it fits
Lindy suits small teams that want an assistant handling email, meetings, scheduling and routine operations in Slack and the inbox, and can predict who will use it. For a wider field read AI assistants compared.
What Lindy publishes
| Plan | Price | Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | $50 in credits, no card, credits last 7 days |
| Team | $49.99 per active user a month | 5,000 credits per seat. Credits pool across seats. Top up $10 per 1,000. Choose a model per task. |
| Enterprise | Custom | HIPAA with a signed BAA, SSO and SCIM, audit logs, shared usage plus bonus credits, dedicated support |
The current pricing page lists Team at $49.99 for 5,000 credits, and its FAQ says paid usage starts at $49.99 per user per month. The page metadata still says “Starts at $29.99”, and the earlier $29.99 plan with 3,000 credits is no longer shown. The page also mentions computer use “on Pro and Max” and connecting 2 to 5 inboxes “depending on plan”, but those tiers are not on the page we read. Ask which plan you are buying.
What a credit buys
| Job size (Lindy’s description) | Credits | Dollars at $0.01 a credit (our arithmetic) |
|---|---|---|
| Everyday asks, answers, summaries, lookups, drafting a reply, closing out a meeting | 2 to 250 | $0.02 to $2.50 |
| Deep work, competitor report, a day’s support queue, a week of calls into a proposal | 250 to 1,000 | $2.50 to $10 |
| Big builds, complex dashboards, decks from CRM data, internal tools, heavy scheduled workflows | 1,000 to 2,500 | $10 to $25 |
The ranges are wide, a hundredfold at the low end, so measure your tasks during the trial.
Worked examples (our arithmetic)
Take ten active users first. That is $499.90 a month and 50,000 pooled credits. If each person triggers 20 deep work jobs a month at an average of 600 credits, usage is 120,000 credits, which is 70,000 over the pool. At $10 per 1,000, the top ups cost $700, making the month $1,199.90 or about $120 per user. The headline $49.99 would understate the bill by more than half.
Light use looks very different. A user who only runs everyday asks at an average of 50 credits and does 60 a month uses 3,000 credits, well inside the 5,000 allowance, so the seat price is the whole cost.
Check the free trial too. $50 equates to 5,000 credits at the Team rate, our inference, and it expires in 7 days.
What is not confirmed
We could not confirm the average credits per task on your workflows, because Lindy gives ranges and not rates by model. The page says you pick a model per task but does not show how that changes credit use. It names no plans beyond Free, Team and Enterprise, and we found no commitment that failed or abandoned tasks are not charged.
Where costs surprise you
Anyone who uses Lindy, or @mentions it in Slack, takes a seat. Slack joiners get a 7 day free trial, while direct sign ups are billed right away. Credits are pooled, so one heavy user can drain the team’s allowance, though admins can set credit allocations per seat. Monthly credits do not roll over, but top up credits last until used.
When the pool runs out, Lindy pauses credit using actions until the next cycle or until an admin tops up. There is no overage bill, but work stops. Removing a seat does not prorate, since it stays active until the cycle you paid for ends, and a returning teammate gets no second free week.
How to test it
- Use the $50 trial on five real tasks of different sizes and record credits per task.
- Check which tasks wait for approval. Lindy says anything with outside impact, such as sending an email or posting to a channel, needs approval, while read only lookups do not.
- Multiply credits per task by expected monthly volume per user, then compare it to 5,000.
- Count real users, including everyone who might mention Lindy in Slack.
Questions to ask before you buy
- How many people will use it, including occasional Slack mentions?
- How many credits does one of our typical tasks use on the model we would choose?
- What happens when the pool runs out mid month?
- Which plan includes computer use and extra inboxes?
- Do we need Enterprise features such as SSO, audit logs or a BAA?
